The old dry powder Automatic Extinguishing Systems did not offer a complete and reliable solution against fire on hot surfaces. It has been proven that the powder remained trapped in the piping network, it "petrified" over time, blocking the flow of the extinguishing material to the flammable cooking appliances as well as the ventilation system of the air-ducts. The new Local Application Wet Chemical System is designed so that there is no trapped material inside the pipes, while at the same time the extinguishing material is fire foam, suitable for cooking fats. It operates manually, but also automatically either via fusible connectors-detectors or via a linear detection thermal cable. The activation temperatures are three (138°C, 182°C and 250°C).
